Surfing & Surfboards
Piha Surf shop has quite a large selection of surfboards and surf gear.  From Mike Jolly's handcrafted long boards, short boards, Mini-mals to hybrids and a selection of second hand boards.  Surfboards and surf gear are also available for hire (from NZ$25 - 3 hours, $35 - full day).  We also have board bags, roof racks, rash shirts, Piha Surf T-shirts, leg ropes and surf wax.

Custom made surfboards to your exact requirements are easily made.  Contact pihasurf@xtra.co.nz for more information.  Professional board repairs by Mike can also easily be done. Surfing instruction is also available, advisable to book in advance: Phone Pam (09) 812 8723. Cost of a 1.5/ 2 hour lesson is from NZ$70 per person (depending on the number of learner surfers in the group, price includes surfing equipment).
